I have had my LTA for about two months and it is growing well.

What does everyone feed theirs and how often?

I have been feeding it mysis shrimp a few a week, but I think that isn't enough.

Any advice would be welcome.

Thanks

I feed my yellow carpet a half a scallop, and my friends GBTA a full scallop every other day. I have been doing this for about 8 months and have grown very well.

Krill and silversides make good food for nems.

But I was told by somthing fishy, you can kill your nem by feeding that much. not that i totaly believe this, just asking

Once maybe twice a week is really all that I feed. Larger nems really don't need to be fed that often, once a month or so would be fine as long as they continue to look healthy.

Where do people get silversides? Can I just feed them my leftover ice fishing minnows? Oh also anybody feed live guppies? I did that once and my gobys love them. However I cant find a store that sells tiny feeder guppies.

raw shrimp or squid seems to make them happy.

you can get silversides at most petstores where the other frozen food is stored.

Really you can do whatever you want. With decent lighting it will be just fine without or without additional food. Unless your wanting to propagate probably no reason to want it to grow.....

Thanks for all of the replies. I got some krill and fed it one today.

I feed mine krill and the bigger mysis. I've been feeding it more since it turned hot pink. Actually, I am probably due to feed it again - I'll have to do that tomorrow.

remeber they dont need feed to live, feeding do help them grow faster.
the biggest food i will feed my anemones will be PE mysis.
they might spend more energy to eat that shrimp or silverside.
you can feed it more often, like everyday.
just think as how often you think an shrimp or a silverside will drop into an anemone in the wild?
