I am interested in purchasing the Red Sea Max 34 gal reef tank and I'm wondering if anyone has one of these or knows anything about them. If you have one, is it worth the $550-$600 it costs? What are some pros/cons you have experienced with this model? If anyone has any suggestions on a better setup, I'm all ears.
Thanks,
Nathan

These are quite new. I don't think anyone local has tried one.
Me personally I just don't see any real inovation with the unit to justify the cost.
this is the thread in the tcmas forum where it was discussed:

we have one set up at WOF. We have sold like 5 or 6 of them. go look at it and make your own judgement.

I've seen the one at WOF and I think it looks pretty good. I would also imagine that it would be serviceable for beginners, much like the common cube nanos.

If you don't want to deal with a sump or need MH lights, and $500-600 is in your budget; I think its a nice little tank...that price is with the stand.

From what I have seen...that price is w/o the stand...the stand is an extra $150. Has anyone seen it for 500-600 with the stand?

I'll see if I can get em
500-600 for tank with light, 150 more for the stand....for 650 to 750 you can get a lot more bang for the buck making your own tank IMO
