Pointing out any potential problems and any additional ideas are welcome. It's my first time using, let alone building, a sump. I plan to have a pair of Koralia's for flow, thus only a mag 7. Should be okay?

Maybe this pic will be easier to read:

looks good, very similiar to my setup. one, for ease of plumbing, you wont need your right drain going to the skimmer section, just to the fuge. im getting plenty of circulation to the skimmer, and im using a smaller pump than you.second, i'd counsider putting the pump on the bottom, if you have it raised, youll barely be able to got to work without your pump sucking air.
third, I wouldnt reduce you drains to 3/4. 1 inch is barely big enough as it is, if you reduce youll have sucking sound issues,I promise. I went through all these issues with my exact same setup. also what will you have separating you fuge from pump section, I just did a single baffle, with eggcrate above to keep snails out. i'd also recommend going to ace for baffles, really cheap and better b/csilicone doesnt stick to acrylic well, found that out as well. Hope that helps, I wish someone would have pointed these things out to me before cementing 20 dollars worth of fittings!

I have not purchased any fittings nor have I gotten the tank drilled yet, so I could always go up to 1 1/2" bulkheads then reduce to 1 1/4" on the way to the sump. I will have a T connector at the top connecting to the bulkhead with a hole drilled into a cap at the top. Just like a durso but it extends outside the tank instead of all inside. If I do it right, there shouldn't be a siphon created but will be gravity fed. I was told that the reduction in interior diameter was important...don't believe I remember the reason tho. So if you think there will still be a sucking sound I would rather go to a larger bulkhead. There will be a baffle separating the fuge, prolly just can't see the line very well on the pic. Ace gave me a quote of about $14 (~$9 a sq. ft) a baffle (18"x12"x1/4"), is that reasonable? I thought it a bit high since I thought glass should be cheaper than acrylic. A plastic shop nearby will give me a 3' x 3' sheet of acrylic for $45 (~$5 a sq. ft).
Thanks for the advice!
going to want to have at least 1.25" durso to kill noise. if your bulk heads are only 1" make them larger

1 1/2" bulkheads it is then. Anything else? Flooding worries?
