There are two high end saltwater stores that have opened up in the last year within 10 miles of my parents house in Texas ( Dallas Area ).

I brought back 3 Tyree Patula Punch echino frags. 2 to grow out as investments and 1 to keep for myself. They went real cheap but I think worth it.........

Not the best picture and are much more orange in person.

Nice... What are the names of the stores? My brother lives in the N Dallas (Frisco) area and I am planning on driving down on over spring break.

I loved this rimless little 30 something gallon halide setup. If I could just get past the $900 price tank for tank/stand/light......

Cool David. I was born and raised in Irving... I lived in Arlington for a while. I'll have to check them out.

Thanks for the info and I hope you had a nice visit to TX...

OT, question... Think most corals could do a two day road trip assuming I find something nice in late March down there (assuming I can keep them sufficiently warm...)?

We drive straight through about 16 hours total. I picked it up on the way out of town and didn't seem to loose any signficant temp in a cooler during transport.

For sure, will scout them out again on our trips to visit my parents.

I grew up in the North East side of town ( Mesquite ) which is really run down and gang infested now. Such a shame how areas of town in Dallas seem to go down hill in relatively short amount of time ( 20 years ). My parents moved to Arlington area about 8 years ago. I went to school at UT Arlington. If/when I ever move back. Plano/Frisco side of town is definately my preference. Would give me a good 45min-1hour buffer from the parents.

Yeah, I grew up in S. Irving. Went to Nimitz... It has definitely gone from middle class to the dumps in short order. My mom and grandmother are still in Irving, everyone else has moved to the northern suburbs.

I don't think my girls could do straight though though I have. We generally check that Dallas North Aquarium though I've never been in the position to bring anything home before now.

We drive at night. The kids sleep through most of it. I have the luxary that my wife is very sensative to cafine. So she get a treat to drink one of her favorite coffee drinks and is wired to drive through the worst part of the night.
