As I get ready to haul my stash to (and from) the frag swap, I'm wondering about some different ways of shipping/handling corals over longer time periods. After reading this thread (http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=607902) (Started by one of our own :smile:), I'd like to know if anyone here has had good luck with "dry shipping" corals, specifically zoanthids and SPS? It sounds as if these are the hardiest, re: tidepools and intertidal areas, while...
one thing I can say for certain is that thin skinned mushrooms such as small hairy mushrooms don't fare well at all, whereas thick skinned mushrooms like tonga mushrooms tend to do well
So, wet paper towel for zoanthids and SPS, normal bagging/tupperware procedures for most mushrooms?
Just thinking outloud.
