ROCK?

I have some large and cool cave shape "Grotto Rock" from my Cichlid tank I took down.
Can I use it in my reef?

I think the issue is if you used anything like copper in your Cichlid tank because the rock could leach it back out.

it'll take a while for it to get really "live" but you certainly can use it. it'll be quicker if you place it with at least some live rock from an established set-up.

I used hundreds of pounds of that in my 300g tank and had no issues. The stuff was never used in another tank though it still had dirt on it when I got it. Probably not as good for filtration but for aquascaping purposes it worked great and was very long large pieces.

Downside is that it is very very difficult to drill so mostly have to use the stacking method with it.
