First one is 1/10/2007 and a pic today so about 3 months and 2 weeks.........

Green slimer in the back was sold and replaced with a ORA German Blue polyp and a ORA Roscoe.

The teal staghorn in the front right was fragged since and you see the frag in the front middle.

The ORA purple tort was also fragged and traded away since the first pic.

Notice on the ORA lavender ( upper center ) with all the new branches in just 3 months and the overall growth ORA tricolor ( on the right ).

All with T5 lighting, Randys DIY 2 part and Kalkwasser maintain 8-9DKH, CA 425+, PH 8.23 low - 8.42 high. Flow is 3 Tunze Nano streams ( 1 modded 6025 and 2 6045s ).

Orange digitata. That's the only digatata I keep and only becuase there isn't alot of SPS or acros that are orange. It along with my orange cap, help give a good mix of color. Yellow is the same way, hard to really find any bannana yellow type acros so for that I have a Sacro. Elegans bright yellow softy and a nice large ( 8 year old ) colony of yellow turbinaria. I'd like to get a yellow porites again someday too but haven't found a good one locally yet. Red is a challenge too outside of some red/dark pink table acros and millis, I have to rely on LPS to get those colors. Greens, blues, and purple, is no problem to find plenty of acros to fit that bill..........

That's one of the downsides for me with T5s ( at least my config ). I don't keep any acros more than 10" below the lights or else they don't get good color. The rest of the tank is all community softy/lps.

But all in all, it's a good compromise and doubtful I will every use MH again. Great peace of mind with heat issues more so than any electrical savings.
