How long to split

Our RBTA has had sort of a kidney shape for quite a while. Yesterday it started to travel and now it looks very much like it has two feet.

How long does it usually take them to go through the splitting process once they start?

The couple of times my RBTA split, the actual splitting only took around a hour. I noticed something was strange with the nem the hole day it happened though. It would walk up the rock to give the new clone a place to be, get deflated and stringy and just generally look not happy.
