:eek2: I've kept a "Scolymia Brain Coral (Green)" for about 2 years with no problems. Lately I'm noticing small dead spots at the base and it doesn't seem to be opening. Any thoughts?

How and what are your water params? Anything change lately in the tank? Is it close to another coral that is stinging it?

agree with winger 100% on checking, I would be willing to bet someones sweeper tenticles are touching it at night. Check it out about an hour after the lights go off for the night, if it is getting stung, you can move it or the offending coral, and maybe do a reef dip on it to help with the wounds.

I have an abundance of reef dip if you would like a bottle you can give it a dip and see if that helps. Honestly, it looks like the sand or something in it is irritating the coral. Im not quite sure what to tell you. :(

 All my paramiters are great. I moved it to a different side of the tak 3 days ago and the main portion looks better. I thought the Fire Goby look cute under the coral. I move it.
Mary, whens a good time to stop by next week??
