I only have a 10g nano but this is still really big pain.
Heres where I am and what I am thinking.
I'm mixing salt water now.
Heading out to get another ten to transfer everything in to and maybe a 20breeder as a permanent tank.
I have a shallow sand bed in the leaker but I am going to do a bare bottom until I get the new permanent tank painted, new protien skimmer and sand is settled.
Thinking I will transfer 70% of remaining water in to temp tank, move everything over.
Move stand and clean the carpet with a machine from the grocery store.
Move temp tank and stand back to its spot.
Questions:
Will everything be okay with the sudden lack of sand? ( I am using aragonite)
Should I put a little of the sand in the temp tank so I can use it to seed the new sand?
