I was at SWE the other day and saw a comet (Calloples altivellis) does any one have one how are thay?
in the book reef secrets it says that thay are reef safe but will eat small crustaceans and small fish but they are otherwise peacefull.
this fish is just beautifull and i would love to own one.
i will eat crustaceans so would a emerald crab be on its dinner list or snails/hermit crabs

I have one in my display and have had it for 3 years. They are very peaceful and hardy, they are reef safe unless you add small fish or shrimp that will fit in their mouth. They are a noctournal fish so you wonrt see them too much during "lights on" except when you feed. I do see mine sticking its head out of a hole in the rocks now and then. they are a great and beautiful fish. They do require plenty of live rock with caves and hiding places. the readily take frozen foods and will appreciate a treat of live guppies now and then. They are more know as Marine Betta
