Whats your method of choice. Right now i have egg crate along the bottom. I then will add the rock after that i will add the sand.
Another method i've read about it elevating all the rock off of the sand bed completely on PVC stands etc. which would allow more water movement and the crew would have a better time.

Yeah i did that on my 125 freshwater with 100 lbs and loved it was so easy. I was just more concerned about the water movement underneath.
p,s, research them fans got them at home now

I used eggcrate more for something for the rock to grab to instead of being against the slippery glass bottom. Makes for a lot more stability.

Never Made production? I did find some info on them. Well looks like all I have for easy LPS are a couple different frogspawns and a torch coral. What do ya think?less than a year they were a prototype that never made it to production

we were trying to cool an eletrical box but the big boss didnt like the look so i let them sit around until no one missed them.
And yes either of them will do since i have nothing and any thing would be a start.
I just need some time if you got time to spare plz and thx

Sean, that kenya tree I got from you dropped a branch. I rubber banded it to some rubble. Interested in it back - I'll trade you for an aussie

I first put down eggcrate before adding rock and sand as well. And I only put sand outside of the rock, under the rock it is still bare eggcrate. One drawback I saw in this is that all the eggcrate squares can become little detritus traps, so I came up with a way of periodically blasting water under the rock to clear out the squares (during water changes etc.)
Dirk has a tank that has all the rock suspended off the tank bottom, with return pipes underneath IIRC.
