yeah i skipped the rods the Buna locks in so tight and most of them were small. thats 90 lbs in a 75. i put the rock in there, gave it the good shake test then added the sand then water.

That type of rock isn't a good candidate for drilling anyways. The calcium is so dense that it's pretty impossible to drill through. The pressure it takes to drill also makes it split easy.
Good ole' figi rock is really the best for drilling.

That rock is beautiful. The one draw back I experienced with buna is that if you get byropsis on the rock it is extremely hard to clean the algae off the rock. I raised my magnesium when I got byrosis growing all over my buna rock, and it was gone in a week.

However, before I knew about raising mag I was rather frustrated with cleaning the rock and having the algae grow back so quickly. Some people have tried the mag trick and it didn't work for them, but that could be due to the type of mag they are adding to the tank, etc... Anyways, sorry to stear away from the topic. Very nice aquascape. Fastfish is a great guy.

FastFish is a great guy and a tip he gave me is that it's almost good to have one dead spot so you know where everything is accumulating and can siphon it out there. As far as anemones, I don't think they are safe with any powerhead. That said, I'm rolling the dice and mine found a nice spot right in the middle of the tank that first night and hasn't moved since. As long as I can keep him happy the chances of him wandering around decrease.
And by the way, GREAT looking tank!

What did you have to raise it to?

Koralia's aren't anemone safe. If anemone detaches from the rock and becomes free floating.......well...... a blender comes to mind. Only anemone safe powerheads IMO and Maxi-jets with foam pre-filters on them. I've had anemones move and stay on the foam for days at a time and suction is diffused enough that it can move off the foam whenever it wants.
