So I want to do things right this time around.

Looking for reasons to go with either a
Calcium Reactor or 2 part solution

Is one better for any particular reason? And what is all needed to setup each?

Two part, you can get started right away without ANY special equipment required. When you get comfortable with it then can add dosing pumps to automate. So the only costs is the $20 or so for the mix.

Pros: low Initial costs, no CO2 added to the water, can increases PH, less space required.

Reactor cons are exactly the opposite: high initial costs, CO2 added to the system. Supressed PH, more space required for the reactor itself and the Co2 tank which is negligable is running remotely but can be tight fit in under the sump setups.

I'd for sure do this first. If you don't like it you can always get a reactor later.

What is a good pump for automating Two Part?
