My BTA has split.. but it looks like its going to split yet again.. is it normal for them to spit into three parts?

It is farily common. Not "normal" but nothing to be concerned about either. Mine just split into 3 as well ;)

so is it an indication of good water quality when they feel the need to split.. or is it indication its poor so they figure they better split to keep their species going? they look fine to me.. I dont see that they are bleaching or anything.. they are living under dual HQI 250 watt halides.

it can be either. I know that is not the answer that you are looking for but here is the deal. It can split due to being stressed out from its environment changing, or not being appropriate for it. It can also split because that is how they reproduce. Most anemones split every 6-18 months. Keep in mind I said MOST and that is just my experience. If it looks healthy, I would not worry. Hope this made sense :). How are those acans doing? You should post up some pics! :)
