I know that they are not really an ideal reef tank fish for smaller reef aquariums (less than 7 feet long) these guys get about a foot long and eat a ton of plant matter. They CAN start nipping at corals just like any other Rabbit fish, but it is in my opinion only about a 10 percent chance. Would be an awesome addition to a larger reef tank. I can't remember if you were setting up a smaller reef tank or not, but if so they siganus doliatus is an AWESOME addition, as well as the siganus puellus. Don't confuse the siganus virgatus with the doliatus, the virgatus doesn't have the vertical blue lines through out the length of the body, but instead only has the blue stripes mostly on its face. The foxface, magnificent, and the Lo Uspi are also in the same small size range as well. Call me if you have more questions.

We have a few puellus. The one who has to compete harder for food eats zoanthids. Other than that, they rock.

yes the blue spotted rabbit fish is a zoo eater. i have one that dont have to compete for food with other fish and he ate all the zoos out of my tank. i didnt mind though. i hate brown zoos.
