I haven't posted for awhile, my reef tank is/was going well, so there wasn't really anything to post. I wasa out of town for 5 days recently, gave the instructions to my hubby as what to do with the tank, I really made sure that minimal needed to be done. When I came home, my royal blue tang was dying, too far to save, my scissortail goby commited suiciede and my firefish dissapeared. What the h***. I checked all the water parameters , everything was fine. Is there a saying somewhere... Don't leave your tank with someone who knows nothing??? This actually happend about a week and a half ago, but I was so shocked that I couldn't write anything about it until now. We need a babysitting co-op (like my mom's club) for our tanks!! http://www.tcmas.org/forums/images/smilies/Generic%20Smilies/smile.gif

Wow, that is a bummer :(. Sorry to hear. Where do you live? If you post up that you are going out of town, you can usually find someone who is willing to stop in at least once and check on the tank for you :)

Yeah that does suck. I lost my LMB today. Anna pointed out that the fish was being silly. Well the fish decided to taste the impeller of the maxijet! She then asked if the silly fish was sleeping. Kids sure know how to lighten things up:smile: It sucks losing something but it does happen from time to time unfortunately.

Yes, reef sitters must be somewhat informed about the hobby. I fear leaving my tank unattended for more than a day or two. However, now that I am part of the club perhaps I can actually take a vactation or two :)
