So my wife though that WE needed new carpet in our basement. So that ment moving the poker table and the fish tank. In the end it was not that bad because it needed a good cleaning and I wanted to build a new stand.

I also thought that it would be a good time to get some advice on my set up. I have and overflow unit in the tank and a sump with bio balls. I have an large skimmer in the sump along with the heaters. I run carbon every other wather change. I got an ro/d unit last year and have that in my storage room witch share a wall with my bar so the water hook up was a snap. I am on a well, but the water goes through two filters befor it goes to the ro/d unit.

I have plenty of live rock that i have had for 10 years and a lot of purple mushrooms growing on it. I have 4 PC, two atinic and tow 10000K, that are 55w. It has a bout 1" of live snad in the bottom.

So, any changes that should be made?

Here are some pics to help you out.

First the new stand in progress

Now the temp set up, a 55. I also have a 20 with some of the rest of the live rock.

The tank and the old stand

My clown and a few of the purple mushrooms

I have a hitchhicker crab, dont know what kind, but dose not seem to harm any thing

Any thoughs would be nice

I have been using a kalk reactor for less than a year and have gone through 4of the aqualifter pumps as they stop working and don't perform. I use the lifter to pull RO water from a jug and feed into my kalk reactor. They work great for awhile and then fail. Anyone else have this problem??
I possibly thought that maybe the lifter just doesn't stand up to the backpressure of feeding the reactor? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Well i decided to buy dustybaker's tank that he had recently put up for sale. Just picked it up tonight. The plan is for this to be a coral dominated tank with some smaller fishes, that way my 125 upstairs can continue to be fish dominated and can house some of my non reef safe friends.

I bought it as pretty much a complete setup but will likely supplement it with some odds and ends I have around here already. It was fairly dirty from not running with a skimmer for the past couple weeks so i spent the last couple hours scraping the tank after putting the live rock in my other display for the time being. This tank is going in my basement in my office area. So far this is what I got.

I got a lond night/day of mixing salt water ahead of me as well as some trips to home depot for plumbing stuff.

and just for angie some shots of the eel from upstairs

Well I pulled everything out of the Biocube yesterday and moved them to the 40 gallon upstairs.

Left everything running so I could watch for and catch any snails left in the tank - good thing I did...........

Tonight we ran to DemselDebbie's and we cut up some acrylic to make baffles in her sump, then scheduled next Monday to get the pumbing done.

From there we headed over to Dusty's (Dustybaker) so I could pick up a Manderin to hold for Matt (Hypertech) and while there - Debbie picked up some corals, inverts and a return for her new sump.

Nick (BlownSVT) met us there as he is buying Dusty's set up and although the original plan was much different, we ended up with a mini NM get together and tore the whole set up down to send home with Nick!

Followed Nick home to help him get the tank and what not into the house and checked out his SUPER COOL Eel - and uh I checked out Jess' (Nicks wife) super hot boots!

Turned out to be a day of fun!

As Nick is getting the newly acquired 75 up and cycled - I ended up going home with a pail of fish, corals etc to hold onto for him until the 75 is ready.

Pics suck but here is my foster tank with Nick's goodies and Matt's Manderin!
