Is that a top down view of aquascaping? It's not professional enough to tell.

So I got back from Nebraska to find my 90lbs of Caribsea Argamax Sugar sand have arrived as well as another k3. Going to pick up lights today. Current USA Sundial, 4 T-5Ho's, 2 Cooling fans, 4 Moonlights, and one outlet (Intergrated digital timers for control). Im stoked, Now I just need rock, plumbing, and sump baffles!!!!!!!!

Be careful when aquascaping that you don't break through the glass when constructing the right side of your tank

I picked up my rock today, I got really nice shapes and right around the size I
asked for, thanks BRS! I also got a new TDS meter, the output end of my old one quit working. So list of things to do

Waiting on new impeller assembly from DFS, I broke the old one while plumbing the tank.

Get sump from SaltRooky.

Plumb the return once I get the pump fixed.

How does everyone have their return piped?
I was going to do mine in soft plastic tubing but I am not happy with how it turned out. I want to be able to remove it for cleaning, but I think i'll hard pipe it with a union to achieve the same effect.

Howdy neighbor! I saw you post where you were located and was like that guy must live really close by, then noticed the screen name and put two and two together

I had no idea you were making so much progress on the tank, it's looking great. Are you planning to seed the base rock with any live rock at all?

Gimme a hollar if you need help with anything. I just ordered a 57g rimless form SWE, going to have reef tanks all over this neighborhood.

Wow, whats up dude!Must have recognized the floor plan! You'll have to come check it out sometime. I'll probably try to get a couple pieces to seed it. I just don't want to start off with pests in the tank. I might take you up on some advice and opinions.

I may have an idea on your overflow after seeing the pic...But try it the way you have it setup first.

I (we) kind of winged it. We couldn't find a good strainer for it either. Im thinking of just covering the overflow with a piece of acrylic. I still need to pipe the return. You think hard pipe is ok?

If those are 1" elbows, there is a part at Lowes that works perfect.

I think it is some sort of drian or strainer about 2" wide that you can just sit on the elbow.

you could even do a prefilter deal as your strainer *cut out foam* not the real fine/firm ones, but similiar to a mesh open sponge

i like the lay out of the rock, but its better when u taper out towards the front, creating ledges, crevices toplace corals..ect

looks great though, remember to paint the back, makes everything pop out and adds depth perseption.
