45 gallon cube build thread

sssssooooo i decided that i will be setting up 2 tanks! a 150 gal deep dementions and a 45gal cube

this is the chronicles of the 45 gal build!

so here is the plan
45 gal cube,
25 gal sump
4 bulb tek fixture with 2 blue++ 1 actenic and one Fiji purple bulb
flow will be two tunze 6025s
skimmer is a KZ revo s skimmer
300W finnix heater
RK lite controller
the only thing i have to figure out now is the return pump
I want it to be quite and energy effiectient.
I will also have the tank covered by one of Li's super net lids so i can have wrasses =)

the tank will be mainly LPS and fish

when everything gets here (its on order or on the way) i'll put up pics!

LMK if i'm missing anything

huh...only a 150 gallon? You have plenty of room for twice the size!!!

i was gonna do just the 150 but this way i can have LPS and not taint my SPS tank with them.

Can't wait to see the pics! My 70 cube is on order as well, same thing as the 45 but it's 30x30x18 instead of 24x24x18. I custom ordered it rimless too

I love square footprint tanks!!!

Should be a fun build to see!

my hope is to have it cycling within 2 weeks, provided the controller is in and the skimmer gets here soon.

if you think this is impressive you need to see Matt b's tank that he is setting up. or even the 150 that i'm going for.

I think that i will mainly do Acan lords, acan maxima,aussie Scolys and a few chalices. i will have a true orange hammer and a big aussie elegance in there. with this in mind is there anything that i should do different? i'v always been an SPS guy. i *May* have a few zoa rocks if i can find them brightly colored enough

ok i picked up the rock and sand today, the skimmer also showed up but no one was here to sign for it so ill get it tomorrow when they redeliver, i'll by lumber and plumbing tomorrow and then i'll post pictures! also i should have water in it by monday WHOOHHOO scolys here i come
