Has anybody had luck with 3 yellow tangs in a 125 gallon 6 foot tank? Ive read that if you introduce all at the same time there is a chance of them living together?

David Grigor has several Yellow Tangs in his tank, he would be able to give a better answer.

I have 5 yellow tangs for about 6 years. If started as 6 but just one day which seemed totatlly out of the blue after several years, one started getting his butt kicked. I was able to catch it and put it in another tank. It recovered fine but probably too risky to ever try to put it back. They do still get agressive and chase each other periodically throughout the day but not serious enough to seperate.

So my answer is definately yes add all at the same time. But my not be harmonius forever. I will highly recommend ( for everybody ) to have a good fish trap and know how to use it before you need it.

I suspect that the more you have together, the better luck you will have because the aggression will be spread out. I have two in mine that do fine together. They chase each other but I don't know if that is aggression or just playing.

To the larger one, it's just playing.
To the smaller one; it's aggression.
(I have two younger brothers... :Devil )
