The last group of eggs I had, I tried raising on my own. I got a few of them a day or two away from hatch before they too wasted away. During that time I also took the opportunity to switch the pot out for tiles. They took a while to get back into the swing of things but I had another successful spawning on or around 1/13/2011. This time I'm letting the parents do their thing. Today we are down to three eggs.

I can feel your frustration. It's just so hard to know which way to go. Good luck.

I'm not frustrated. I'm just testing the waters so to speak. We all will get the hang of it in due time. I'm not in any hurry. Patients is key. I'm just glad these guys recovered in a somewhat timely manner after changing from a pot to tiles. I'll be moving these guys to a new location in the not so distant future. This makes me feel a little better about that move.

You are a better person than me then. I always get frustrated in wanting to move to the next step, then second guess my actions by wondering if I should have gone the other way to save the hatch. I guess I'm just too much of a Type A personality! Keep up the good attitude and good luck!

Got a small hatch this week. Here's a picture of one of the fry in greenwater with rotifers (green specs) surrounding it:

Hi everyone, how do you signup for the MBI? I am interested in starting with Bangi Cardinals. If I do succeed where what do I do with them... sell them to LFS? Sell them on TCMAS? What are MBI points?

    Thanks! :goldfish:

Also I hope you succeed in raising your new clownies! :)

    Hi Koletang,

Your questions are rather loaded so I'll answer the one that I know I can get right :)

You can register for the Marine Breeding Initiative buy filling out the form at this location: http://www.mbisite.org/register.aspx

Once you've done that you can start a breeding journal here in the "Breeding Journals" forum. To gain points you then submit your journals to the folks over at the MBI.

Also, thanks for the kind words
