Anyone here have experience? Have had one now about three weeks. Seems to be doing well with full mantle extension daily and good reactivity. Its under 165 watt leds with blues at 100% and full spectrums on at 30%. Can turn up fs more but will have to do it in stages as not to bleach out any corals. Also the tank gets some naural light in mid morning.

Clams have the very similar needs as SPS. If you have SPS in the tank and they are doing well, then the clam will most likely be happy. If you have less light or less calcium than what SPS would need, then the clam is probably going to struggle.

I have not used LED's on a reef so I can't suggest any particular settings.

I have a fairly good size derasa. Was under a 175 watt metal halide with another 80 watts of VHO lighting. Now it's under a r420r razor led. I might be up to 50/60 light/blues. Getting good growth. Also have a maxima under the same lighting. They suck up a lot of calcium. Enjoy.

I have several montis..both digitata, capricornis, setosa, purple pince and all are doing well. Alkalinty is stable at 9.5 dkh and calcium is at 460 at present. I was told that derasas were a fairly hardy species as far as Tridacna go.
