I'd love to hear some bragging in this thread about how long everyone thinks their tanks could run completely untouched.

This would mean no manual top offs, no manual feedings, no adjusting water parameters, no removing macro algae, no mixing salt, etc, etc, etc.

For example. Mine could run about 6-8 weeks before my ATO reservoir would run out of water.

I would love to see some of the answers from this thread. I can get about 6-7 days max before my ATO reservoir needs refilling.

ATO limited to 20 gallons on about 220 total water volume. Means I have about a 6-7 day window.

Let's see, Feed 3 times a day, do my maintenance work in the mornings while still in my undies so I'd say about 9 hours.

But, during vacations I can go 7-10 days, with just monitoring via apex and web cam, sitter is just on call if see something unusual and need someone hands on.

When I'm not at home, five days (ATO).
When I'm at home... less than an hour! :D It's not that the tank doesn't need the attention, but I like to check in on it as much as possible. I'll spend time looking at the livestock, checking water levels, checking supplement levels, checking filter socks/floss, checking equipment performance... a lot of what falls under the daily maintenance routine.

Really depend on your livestock actually. For my softies tank, I don't do anything even water change for 3-4 mos and they're still doing great. And for my main SPS dominated tank, I can get away for 3-4 weeks no problem. It could go longer, but for the health of my SPSs, I just do a large water change after that.

I could go 2 weeks with an automatic feeder which is when the ATO would run out of water but since I dont have one its about 2-3 days. When my tank was at work the fish were never fed over the weekends or holidays.

I dont like to feed exclusively pellets so I dont see myself adding an automatic feeder anytime soon. If it dumped in too much it would also foul my tank much faster with a smaller volume of water.
