I'm flying down Thursday and hitting the show Friday, and then heading back. Anyone else going to be around Thursday night that wants to go out? I've got a 21 year old accompanying me who wants to hit up Bourbon Street.

My wife and I will be down there Thursday night, but we already have plans for the evening.
There's been a group chat started so all of us TCMAS'ers can find out what's going on where and when. I'm sure there'll be someone doing something somewhere. Hit us up when you get down there.

Hey @acharpenter, do we have any TCMAS swag (other than the black t-shirt with the iron-on) to wear while we're in New Orleans? An embroidered polo shirt or something? (In an XL; ;))

I want to, but I just can't make any more... I need to sleep.
108 cookies destined for New Orleans.

213 is a pretty uneven number, are you really going to stop there?

I was going to let Chris correct his math as it's only 123 cookies; which doesn't bother my OCD as it's a sequential number.

How are you going to get them there without breaking?

    Plans have changed...
I was going to drop them off with Wade and have him drive them down. But since I would really like to have them there for Thursday night, I decided to pack them up in a cooler and check them on the flight down there. The cost to have them checked on the plane is minimal to having them over-nighted to the hotel; plus I'll have them right away. (Thanks for the tip, Jon!) Though, I'm still very concerned about them making the trip without breaking and/or melting.

Where did I even come up with that number? Wishful thinking maybe.

A very quick report from New Orleans before we head home...

MACNA 2017 was a great experience! I'm sure everyone enjoyed their time in New Orleans and at the convention. The town did not disappoint; good restaurants, great drinks and even the weather held off for the most part.
Speaking for myself, I had an incredible weekend. My main agenda was to meet the many friends/acquaintances that I have made in this hobby. I couldn't have ever imagined that it would have gone over as well as it did; the cookies really played a vital role.
When we get back home and I reflect on the entire weekend, I'll post a more thorough report.

For those that are impatient, I did get to see the Neptune Systems Trident monitor, the captive bred Conspicuous Angelfish and Borbonius Anthias and many other great exhibits.

Couldn't agree more, For my first MACNA trip it was pretty awesome, Just the amount of exhibits to see various parts of the hobby, not to mention the vendors selling some pretty sweet coral. Talk were very informative and gave me personally a new look on some of the ways we go about the hobby. And the city was very.... entertaining, we'll leave it at that LOL.
