See you there!!!
This may end up being my 1st MACNA!
I don't think I can resist the excuse for a Vegas trip to attend my first MACNA
I am seriously considering MACNA next year. The hotel room will be cheap for me, but what does it cost for the conference itself.
Does everyone go to every event or are we allowed to go and do our own thing?
Currently $109 for a full pass. Limited time at that price. I wish I could commit to it, but I don't know yet.
I really want to go but being the week after Labor Day means that I would have to miss at least 1-2 days right after school starts and I'm not sure if I can get away with that being the sole IT staff. Need to have a conversation with my boss next week about this...
Pass gets you in the doors to event center. What you do is up to you. Stand around in a corner drooling at corals? Go listen to speakers? Go back to your hotel and cry about your new 2nd mortgage? Whatever you want.
Okay, I will be going to the Vegas one, its only 4 hours from my house.
Got approval from work and the wife to go. Ticket and MACNA shirts ordered!
Happy to provide Las Vegas travel advice if anyone planning to attend hasn't been to Vegas before.
I really need to start going to these regularly. The timing is so very inconvenient though in terms of my classes.
I am planning on attending. My plans are to go to ATM and check their place out and eat in 1 of Gordon Ramsey's restaurants.
I've visited ATM's (from Tanked show on Animal Planet) a couple years ago. There was a living social or Groupon deal. At the time they did 2 tours, the more expensive one you get more time and actually get to walk around the shop floor, the cheaper one they have a barricade where they kinda show you where things happen in the shop from behind there. It was interesting, they showed Bret and Wayne's offices. I've seen in a lot of reviews that it is pretty rare for them to be around for the tours. Did get to meet a few of the other show regulars.Heard some interesting stories. Got to see their artist renderings for a bunch of upcoming tanks and other projects that weren't being filmed for the show.
As far as Gordon Ramsay restaurants. Steak and Burger are both highly reviewed, the Pub tends to get mediocre reviews. Fish and Chips is more of a fast food place but its pretty good and an easy place to use as a second cheaper Gordon Ramsay place. https://www.tripsavvy.com/gordon-ramsay-restaurants-in-las-vegas-1679046
was thinking about trying Yardbird's
I forgot to mention, his Hell's Kitchen Restaurant should be open before MACNA 2018 at Caesars Palace
