Crap... completely forgot about the meeting yesterday :brick:
Towards the end of the meeting, mentioned how the montipora nauti spiral
was getting too much light and wasn't coloring well. It was suggested that I swap out ( gotta love the pegging system ) with a coral on the end.
Thanks for the suggestion, will see how it does in that spot. The only downside is that its pretty close to the side so can't grow out too much in that spot.
I have my Nauti Spiral colony located in the bottom corner of my tank and it's very colorful; peachy-orange with a pink growing edge.
It'll be more interesting to see the new growth form it takes by being moved to a new location. If it was getting too much light and growing down, it may now start to grow up and scroll was it reaches for the light.
I need to frag mine as it's getting close to the front glass and other corals, but I'm hesitant because it looks so nice.
Both of you have nicer coloration than me . Jason is right though. A lower spot in different flow will hopefully make it grow in a more natural manner.
