I finally did it...........55 gallon Brackish water..... Salinity starting at 1.005 and hoping to reach 1.150 over a period of 3-4 months and wanting to go full marine. Gives me a good reason to have another saltwater setup ;) don't tell the wife!

    55 gallon tank
    Lights
    1-24" 6400k
    1-24" DIY LED
    1-48" Plant and Saltwater bulb
    Filtration
    75 gal rated HOB
75 gal rated Skimmer (coming soon)
3" Hand picked river rock, cleaned, cured, and cycled
    Livestock
    10-15 Virgin Nerite snails
    3-4 Nerite snails
    25-30 Ghost shrimp (yum yum)
1 LONELY Green spotted puffer we adopted from the LFS
    (the idea behind this tank)

    He's kinda shy......

THE "DIY LED" I took two pictures because it is run on a controller and brightens and dims, also the "HIGH" level is too bright for the camera ;)

    LOW

    MID-HIGH

    NIGHT

If you noticed the 6-7 LEDS that were not lit, it is because they are RED and only come on at night ;) I am also sorry to add that the "purple tipped Acro" is not for sale or trade :coolmad: I love this thing!!! It dosen't eat.... or grow....:gay1: The lonely ol' guy was just sitting on the clearance rack! I am open to any suggestions. I'm still working on landscaping and adding plants.
    Thank you all for looking

Will a skimmer work with lower salinity?
