I am starting a freshwater Planted Angelfish. I have planted a few plants but they all have rotted away. I checked the GH levels and they are high very high. Can you recommend a RO/DI unit that is not overly expensive.

    Tanks!

    What's your price range?

I used the R/O buddie on my 10g for two years until I upgraded my tank and RODI unit. It's about $55 for the 3 stage unit and $20 for the DI cartridge. I refilled the resin in the DI cartridge from BRS. You can find it in Amazon.

I think you can get a comparable system from BRS for close to that price though. Their units are top notch.

I'm not saying it won't help but Before you spend the money on a ro system, there are many reasons why plants will rot away. Type of plants, substrate, lighting , lack of ferts, etc. Can you Post a few details about your setup? You may want browse theplantedtank.net forum too.

Not sure you need ro for a planted tank, need more info on the tank, substrate, plant and if there's Co 2,ferts and lights
