I have told I'm full of hot air every now and again (o:
3-5 people in 1,400 Square ft plus visitors of 1-4 so I guess I could imagine that.

Should be easy to tell. I assume no one is around during the weekend. If the daytime pH is still low on the weekend then that can't be the reason.

And then there was light! Finally got around to under cabinet lights and I even have them turn on any time an alarm is triggered or when I switch common things off for maintenance like the skimmer.
    IMG_20180804_174334777.jpg

I also found some abs blocks to raise up a bed frame and used to lift my skimmer higher. That seems to have help as I'm able inject quite a bit more air now then before. Find out soon enough.

I know that patience is a virtue in this hobby, but seriously...
I love looking at a good stand, but how's the top half looking???

Here's some updated full shots, tank is hazy as I took the photos after blowing off some rocks
Thanks again Langer for building the stand kit for me to assemble.

I have one concern in the last photo.

Backside, still need to finish the overflow covers. I didn't have Jason fully finish those so of course I've not finished them either.

Backside privacy shade partially pulled, this works really well if someone with a connected fish room didn't want to paint the back... don't even notice its not painted and you could easily see/clean the backside.

This is my concern, I attached a patch awhile back to my sump (it's holding) and it appears the silicone used on the edge is turning yellow. Only the left half has and it doesn't rub off, the right half still looks like it should.
    IMG_20180804_184547561.jpg

The only thing I can think of that's not disastrous is that the grow light I'm using has uv in an is in a compartment down the way but no direct light is making it through to this patch. Perhaps the shared acrylic wall is acting as a "fiber optic" and the uv traveling to the silicone and yellowing it?

Used some acrylic glue to sure up the swabbie lid. These little knobs would twist making it a little hard to keep the lid centered.

My OCD alarm is going off; big time!
Can you figure it out? Or do you (Ryan) already know what you did?

The stand and canopy look great (of what you've finished ;) ); you're taking really good care of it.
Now that you finally have the hardware installed, I'm sure it matches your office cabinets quite well.

I have no clue as to why your silicone is turning yellow.
You could try applying some onto some scrap pieces of acrylic and test it under various conditions to see what would make it turn yellow.

    How could you?
Good thing they’re built identical and symmetrical.

And now I’m going to assume that you’re taunting me with your grammar.

    (o;

I'll switch the bases around but they were so nice how the doors lined up with my sump.

As long as you can live with it... you don’t need to switch them.
But if ever visit, I cannot say that I won’t be tempted to do it myself. :D

Here's my beautiful kalk stirring mod. The top ones are for more subtle movement of water and under the surface they are more closely packed so that good agitation occurs as it dissolves. I can also add a lb at a time. Still minimal water moving but it's more then the previous zero.

Catch is that I have to slowly lower the unit with a plunger motion to better fluidize the powder enough to let the motor rotate.

My mother always said nothing good happens after midnight... thankfully it was just a salinity probe failure and my new really loud cell phone alarm worked. Coincidentally my ip camera (old cell) failed last week and I'm waiting on the replacement camera... tomorrow as it were.

Added this ClariSea 5000 unit last night, it's currently set a couple inches into the water and thankfully was able to fit over the top when installing vs constructing while in the sump.

Well my profound cheapness on certain items was successful this time.

As mentioned, one of my old cell phones that I converted to an ip camera failed due to the battery getting old and swelling. This particular phone could not remove the battery or run without it and I didn't have any more old cell phones. What to do?

I finally got on board with looking at security and ip cameras then settled on the Wyze camera which is pretty cheap and works very well for image quality in red light, dark, or of course white light.

Link to a review thread HERE.

    Couple initial screen shots...

Having some fun with photos while my lights were at peak. Color is pretty accurate I'd say, some are darker to keep the glow from washing out. Not bad for a cell phone at full zoom.
