Hi folks - I'm putting together a "wish list" of critters for my upcoming tank, and came across these bright red Discosoma mushrooms with pure white stripes. I've grown Discosoma in the past and found them easy to care for, so I thought these would be an awesome animal to start with.

They're from an Indonesian importer named "Golden Marindo". Has anyone seen this variety in the Twin Cities area, or know of a shop that does business with Golden Marindo?

Any clues on how to track this down would be appreciated.

I have some. They aren't as bright red, but do have the nice stripe

Yeah, if you find them, let me know. We can group buy or something.

Thanks folks - I think that photo is oversaturated, so they might not be exactly that bright in real life. Still, the stripe is very cool.

cheezybuda - are they good growers, like regular old discosoma?

They are pretty good growers. There is a wide variation in the presence of the stripe. The colony came from a single polyp but some don't have any stripes and others are kind of amazing.
