I feel like I need to thank everyone who came to the swap and of course, everyone who made it possible! I felt a lot more comfortable this time than the last swap.

I think everyone made a good impression on my parents and have further helped gt rid of my parents fear of you all being creepers, murderers, kidnappers, drug dealers and top 10 most wanted.

Sorry for the 2 people that I went to their cars and had my parents not-so discretely staring you down :)

Also huge thanks to FragtasticReef for getting m parents to get the coral rx and Data loss who generously let me borrow his $70 reefing book.

Next time I'll have to try and join in on some conversations besides "hi" and "thanks"

Was nice to actually recognize people for once :]

Glad you had a good time

I would be more worried if your parents were not concerned at all about you going up to a strangers (to them) car, specially with that stranger being an adult.

My first time meeting some one I was 14, and we met in an abbonded parking lot... Needless to say my mom called up her friend who is 6"6 375 pounds to come with me.

I prevent that by always meeting at A Wet Pet so if anything goes wrong I can run in there screaming....

But an abandoned parking lot is pretty shady(especially if there are a lot of trees).

Please tell me he was bald, covered in tattoos and wore sunglasses at night! :jester: That poor guy who you were meeting with. I guess he deserves it for choosing that location. :gay1:

Two of these: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:, for two laughs.

This thread is a little weird, but I had some great meetings and interactions at the swap. Everyone is so willing to offer advice, even to someone just ending a cycle for the first time or even those who are just collecting equipment pieces as they can afford. No one is or has ever been condescending or too good to offer a seriously helpful conversation. Thanks everyone!

Haha I forgot who it was, I sold a clam to them though and it was in an abbanonded parking lot in brooklyn center. I just remember I introduced my moms friend as my dad named Jeremy, and the other guys name was Jeremy too. And when the guy I traded with found out my "dad's" name was Jeremy he chucked, while my "dad Jeremy" said "It's not funny" And I've never seen some one's face go from this  to this :help1: soo fast. I kid you not.

I feel ya man, I missed last springs swap because of Drill.

November has to be the worst month to plan something, because there is only 1 free weekend to have an "event"

    1st - 3rd weekend: Deer Hunting

Somewhere in here: Drill or Frag Swap

    4th: Thanksgiving

This year was an exception because I was able to miss out on drill for the saturday of the swap. But that won't happen again, just Spring swaps from now on for this guy.

Disclaimer: Not complaining, Not Criticising the BOD :)
