so I just drilled a 40 breeder, I like the thought of plumbing it in to my 180's sump for ease of a single system. But then I think since I have most of the equipment to run it separately maybe I should go that route so it doesn't limit my access on the sump end of the 180.

Any thoughts on separate or together? I have plenty of time to think about it, still have to build a stand and paint the back of tank

If your filter system can handle it, sure. Less maintenance. Get it right once, enjoy two displays
