Urchin hoarders

    I thought adding pieces of shells and smaller coral substrate was to help out my two pistol shrimps with building their burrows.
    Turns out the red tuxedo urchin has benefitted the most.
    It even likes to decorate itself with zoanthids that it pulls off the colonies.
    Once, I caught it carrying around two inch frag of M. digitata.

    I just recently added a Halloween Urchin, but it hasn't hoarded anything... yet.

    I need to upload a pic of my tuxedo. He has been "wearing a kenyan frag for over a month now. I would have taken it off...but it seems to be thriving. Who needs lights with sun phase functions... I have an urchin :p

    I figured I would add mine here. I no longer have it because it was just too big in a tank that was just starting out with a bunch of frags but nite I an thinking about getting a new one.

    That's got me thinking.... I have never seen any of my emeralds molt. Must not do it as often as other crabs/shrimps

    Picked up a pink pincushion because of this thread. He hasn't tried to wear anything as a hat as of yet, but has been cruising all around the tank. Didn't think they could move that fast!
