I got the tank today!!! so here is my start, i'll start the stand in about 2 weeks, right after finals.

I put the DVD on the light to get an idea of how large the tank is.

for the stand i will be doing a Japanese Tansu style that will be framed in Paduak:

and paneled with either this figured maple

or wenge.

here is the sump with the octopus return, and the alpha vertex 170 skimmer =)

I may sell this skimmer and get one slightly bigger but thats all up to a certain someone who said he would get back to me a few days ago and did not ;P

the light is a 6 bulb tek, i will most likely add one more, I also have a RKL with the SL2 mod. All i need to get now is a few tunze 6100s and i'm set!, i might add some 2 part dosers but i havn't desided on that one yet.

well, after about 82 hours on the phone today i found a welder that will make my stand!! whoohoo! I will still be making the wooded face out of the above mentioned wood (i i did decide to go with the wenge and padauk) but i want the guts to be steel. only costing me 120 bucks!

I have a few powder coater that I use at work I can recommend if you would like.

i would love that rockman,

i believe that they are using angle iron. i heard that word thrown around, i told them it needed to hold 1500 + lbs with ease and they were like, "no prob"

I have a power coater and an oven for cooking the pieces, also have a welder to assemble afterward. All that stuff is at my house as well.
