Does anyone know how to make water crystal clear? I can't make my water to look clear. I have a hang on back filter and also have a sump. I'm not sure if my sump is doing its job. Any suggestion?

Yes, pics of the setup would help a lot.

Also try to be a bit more descriptive, please.

A sump by itself adds 0 value other than hiding heater and a little water volume. Do you have a Skimmer? Is it large enough? Any other filtration in the sump? A hob filter could also be the cause. When was it cleaned last? What's in it for a filter? Do you run any carbon? Ro/di? How often do you do water changes and how many gallons? What size tank? What are your parameters at? Need lots of info to be able to help

Agreed Need more info.

Maybe try putting the HOB hanging on the sump. You shouldn't need an HOB filter if you have a good skimmer etc.

You really need to post all of your tank specs, a video does not help unless we know what you have going on in there.

9guysmiley2- last change of filter was about 5 days ago. sump do have a bio protein skimmer. It's a 30 gallon. I do have a carbon and a sponge in the HOB filter.

what is in your sump? a sump alone will do nothing to help your water become crystal clear... the mechanical filtration in side of the sump can help.. if there is a cloudyness id asume you have inorganics building up in the water colum... a skimmer in the sump will help rid the tank of that... carbon in a filtersock on your drain hose can help as well.... oh and very frequent waterchanges.... *with rodi water*

bio protein skimmer?

What the heck are you doing with 2 tangs and an angel in a 30 gallon? I assume you plan to move them, but still this is adding to your problem...

Not the best filtration + that many large fish = lots of junk floating around.

I don't know if you have your skimmer working properly yet or not (Make sure its getting the waste out). Buy filter socks and give it 3 days (change carbon if you haven't for awhile).

If for any reason it gets worse? Grab a case and text me sometime next week, we can get it resolved. lol

PS above.. - I was watch that aswell

+1 there's your problem or at least what to fix first you have a stock list off fish = to a 120g

Koletang- I am planning on moving them into a 75 gallon tank. bio skimmer is the little skimmer that is in those cube tank. my skimmer that came with my sump never worked. so i decided to use the bio skimmer. what i have in my sump is the little skimmer in 1 chamber, live rock in 2 chamber, return pump in 3 chamber.

I would recommend way more than a 75 gallon tank. You are going to want something around 180 if possible. Get a larger skimmer (make sure you have a bubble trap in your sump after the skimmer section). I would recommend filter socks on your drain line as well.
