Ok guys i need some help or advise .
i was looking at my tank closely today and found something that cought me off guard . i was looking at the back seals of the tank i notice that the bottom seal is wider than the top , the top is nice and tight but the bottom one look to be wider like the glass was short on one side and they filled it up with caulking . also one side appears to be taller than the other leaving a gap in the center between the tank and stand. ill post some pictures of it soon .

When I measured the left face of the tank, the bottom length was long than the top length. I do not recall the precise measurement. But I want to say it may have been at least close to 1/8" difference.
I am no tank engineer or builder, but i would think having a gap between the two pieces of glass (now filled with silicon) would be a very weak point due to the great amount of pressure.

I would think the back front and sides have to be on top of the bottom glass not in the outside edge of the bottom glass.
would it hold water is it safe ?

I would agree that having glass not square and making up the diffrence with silicone might not be the best thing to do. Also there was a gap in the silicone that looked to me like I could see right into the tank. Making this a spot where water would just pour out. Not good....Not good at all. With the quality I seen on the drilled glass, and now the silicone, and the way the glass is cut. I would be looking else when it came time to buy a new tank! Good luck man.....Give cadlight hell!!

ok so i just put water in the tank . IT ****ing leas !!!!!!!!!!!!!! from the over flow box ant its not even 1/4 full

ok so i just called them. they said they are all hand made and they are not perfect like a machine made.
lol .
if they are made by hand they should be better

Ok so I have a question . Should I use styrofoam under the tank ?

If it were mine, and the tank had no frame, I'd be putting 1/2" pink styro under it. Paint the styro black of course. Or give cad a call and see what they say, since it's there tank and stand your using.

Hahaha, here I am worrying about your styrofoam and I see you have bigger issues, or was it that you didn't use styrofoam? They had the original founder of cad put it together, he is now legally blind, and uses only touch and smell to build aquariumslol all jokes aside, I hope they get you a new tank:swear:

The foam is to protect the tank long term.... the fact that you filled the tank with 25 gallons.... foam wouldnt have protected you.

Any irregularities in the stand can cause harm to a tank without a rim on it. Before I filled up a tank I would put the HD pink styro under it, the kind that won't collapse. The tank was crap anyway, but test fill or not I'd have it under there.
