Update with test results this morning.
Nitrates @ 6
Phosphates @ 0.01
Ran both tests twice. Red Sea Pro for the nitrates (I'm not a fan of this test yet). Hanna Phosphate Checker returned 0.00 and 0.01.
So levels did not go up this week. These test results are without a water change this week like I had originally planned on doing. Really the only issue right now then is that the algae in the display is growing faster than the scrubber right now.
I'm not an expert in LED's by any stretch of the imagination but I always thought that a scrubber would do well with more 1W's than it would with the 3W's myself. Keep us posted on how well that works
The L2 uses 3W LED's and I'd have to look it up to verify but I think they are running at 750ma.
Bud roughs up the screens for you. I don't think it is a stupid question either. I had roughed up my own screen for an UAS I threw together but only used for a few days. When I received the L2 I was amazed at how much more he had mangled the screen than I had.

Its interesting, the first link talks of a 1W setup... I hope it will work for me...
I see he no longer specifies which specific LEDs he is using... So is yours using 1W's or three watts...?

I know this may be a stupid question but does the L2 come with a already roughed up screen or is that something your supposed to do on your own.
I know Chad was having real problems with his ATS and finally discovered his screen wasn't rough enough.
While I may not be seeing the detail in your photos, my screen is so roughed up that you can hardly see any open area between the little squares.
Regardless, it may be worth a try to rough it up some more........
