JEBO WP-40 - Chinese Tunze Copy, anyone using? (1 Viewer)

I will make a video for you guys once I get it. I wouldnt be surprise if its a size of a baseball as long as it works and is quiet I'll be happy to purchase it.

not sure if everyone made it through the RC thread but you can control these pumps with an apex or other controllers with a 0-10v control feature. The pump itself only requires 0-5v so you just need to dial it back. Checking the signal with a multi-meter would be a good idea so you dont accidentally fry your pump.

Is anyone organizing this group buy? I'd be down for one if someone is.
If no one wants to organize it, I can take a count on who wants how many. If we can somehow get 40, that's saving 30 bucks a unit which isn't bad at all if you ask me :p

I can set up the group buy by was going to wait and see what they look like before I get one omen when you get urs let me know and ill take a bunch of pics and post them so far we are up to 12 if everyone that wants one comes through nate

Will do also the seller said they are back order so looking more like 3 weeks

I think wbgtn is trying to get it organized, I actually reached out to the Manufacturer and I'm awaiting a response. they are $71.21 with $3.85 shipping without a group discount so I'm waiting to see how many we would need to purchase and how much of a discount we can get for a group buy. Wbgtn, I can send you this information once I get a response and we can go with either option once Omen get's his pump and does a quick review for us. I have ordered from them before so I trust the seller I reached out to.

I have read the reviews from a couple of other forums and it seems that those that have them are happy with it's build quality and performance so far. Like I said, I have the Sun Sun dual headed pumps and they are the same manufacturer of the Jebo pumps along with several other Chinese made aquarium products. I needed new impellers for my pumps and they not only sent me the impellers but also the shafts, rubber shaft mounts and new top covers for free! when I ordered a replacement ballast for a LED light I was rebuilding they sent me spare 460nm and UV led's without me even asking for them too!

Well that's a good deal if you can get them at that price everywhere else its alot more expensive mine was $111 including shipping.

Reefbuilders just put this up

From what I have read and seen 2 pumps would be plenty on all but the biggest tanks. There was a video of a 210 with two of them and the corals and fish looked like they were holding on for dear life! The flow on them isnt nearly as wide as a vortech so unless you dial them back you will probably be in for a sand storm! Im really hoping these prove to be reliable and resonably quiet, I could save a lot of $$$ on getting decent flow in the future 180 build. Id like to see about picking up a couple extra shrouds as well to try my hand at modding them for wider more gentle flow.

I received the pump yesterday and it has a verry striking appearance to the 6105 tunze. Hard to beat the performance and funtionality for the price. Time will tell if it holds up.

Very interested to hear more, compare away this pump with Tunze..I'm all ears. I know you have some Tunze and also you have a similar sized tank ;)

PS:) a few more questions - size similar to a 6105? and also how does the weight compare?

I've been watching the thread on RC and am interested in how well they will perform. I'd really like to know how quiet they are compared to a 6105.

I was able to get 1 sent to me earlier than expected and it is now in San Francisco so I hope to get it within this week. I will keep you guys updated.

a 6105 should be quiet, the only time I'd expect some sound is if the rubbers on the magnets are out and the vibration passes to the glass/stand/canopy. however I'm interested to know also.
