alpha 200 skimmer

    Hi I'm going to be building a new sump out of a 40 b iv been running the skimmer for a few months works ok but I think it could work a lot better. Wondering if other alpha 200 users could post what the running for water depth on the sump before I build the new sump

    Water level in the sump is about 9 - 9 1/2 inches

    For me this skimmer is doing an amazing job and no noise at all from the pump.

    Thank for the help an links I think that's my problem my sump level is about 8" deep. How long does it take to fill your cup?

    I think that would depend on load? Mine is dry at the moment, redoing my sump.
