My new tank has been going for a while now and my nitrates are still around 8. I only have fish and cleanup snails in it right now but would like to start moving my corals and other fish over soon. I am wondering if I should start dosing NOPOX or using pellets to lower the nitrates or just wait it out. I am running a Rain 2 algae scrubber and skimming. The scrubber is filling up with algae but not sure if it is enough to lower the nitrates down. I would like to see them stabilize below 4-5 at least before moving other livestock into the tank.

I have decided to start some NOPOX. If anyone has any better ideas let me know. Scrubber is working well at growing algae but not really bringing nitrates down yet. Been dosing MicrōBacter7 for about a week now.
