Been tweaking my trident lately to lower the peak and valleys. As I only have to dose ~16 ml a day the trident has a hard time leveling out the curve on its own.

I was at around a .25 dkh swing between high and low point. Over the last week I got it to roughly a .05-.1 swing throughout the day which I am happy with!

My question is can the swing be even smaller? Anyone have a flat line? Or a .01 swing?

Consider that the trident's alkalinity precision is +/- 0.05 dkh

i.e. to be looking for a swing smaller than that is futile in my opinion.

Riiiight. I forget that test kits arent 100% spot on. Sounds like .1dkh is about the best I can hope for!

.1 is what I get out of my Alk and that’s with minimum tests, I’m sure if you tested more throughout the day....you could get less swing. But with and .05 + - and reagent completely sold out everywhere, I don’t see benefit . My mag Is within 10 points over a week and ca 10-15 accordingly I dose 30 mls at this time..
