My GSP rock is growing over nicely and I had a few green toadstools on the same rock. I fully expected them to be over taken or at least an attempt however they simply grow around it and not up and over.

Makes for a cool look, trees in a field or something like that...

Been like this for awhile now but will be interested to see how it develops as the toadstool tries to get bigger, beings the gsp would need to recede at that point.

    Cool effect.
Do toad stools shed their outer layer like leathers? If so, I wonder if that holds it back.

Some do for sure however I've not seen this variety ever do it over the years. They have retracted, gotten shiny for a week then expanded again which I assume resulted in a shed.
