I am looking at buying a guys 90gal bottom drilled tank. He is also selling a Eshopps AZU-100 sump which is 20gal. This is going to be my first "large" tank build so I lack experience. Will I be sad with that small of a sump?
Skimmer compartment is 9x12, is that going to be big enough to accomodate the skimmer you have or want? You can get by with any size sump in theory, but with most things in this hobby...bigger is better.
I would go as big as you have room for. Especially if you want a refugium. Even if not now you may down the road.
Yep, I echo the same sentiment, you will want for more room. 40 breeder if it fits front to back in your stand. Here is a link to used one, well set up, for a decent price: https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ram/for/d/40-gallon-sump-aquarium-fish/6675166061.html
