i have a Deep Blue 45 that I am using for fish qt. I like the larger format, but still reasonable gallons for QT stuff.

The rim around the top is pretty thick (about 1.25”). Insert a series of jokes here. I was checking into the Aquaclear filters for they were getting good reviews and people like the flexibility of the filters and media. Again, just for QT. However the 50 and 70 model don’t fit. Can only handle an inch, insert your favorite joke here.

Any HOB filter recommendations for qt?

I honestly find this post a little disturbing. How can a deep blue 45 handle 8-12 inch marine fish as a quarantine tank?

I agree on the large basket with a canister. I went looking yesterday and ended up getting a new HOB model by Seachem. Simple, easy, fits, with a large removable basket. So far I have a filter pad and some ceramics balls that were seeded from my display tank

So far I like the design
