Red algae on trochus snails

    Just got these black foot trochus from the lfs and didn't look at them until I got home. Besides being monstrous for my 29 cube, they are covered in what I presume is red hair algae. Should I avoid putting these in my system?

    I guess if it was my tank I wouldn't worry about it.... I suppose if you are really concerned about it though you could probably take a clean plastic scrub pad and carefully scrub it off.

    Thanks. Ended up scraping it off a little and chucking them in
