Riley's 1000 gallon fish room build (1 Viewer)

For the skimmer waste, I have it draining to this bucket. It is setup with an airswitch to kill the air pump for the skimmer so it cant overflow. Yes, I did test it first. Same setup Avast sells, but I used a Spectrapure auto topoff switch I've had for five years and never used.

It drains from the skimmer here, and the line is attached with a banjo fitting for skimmer maintenance. Behind that is the outlet that kills the air pump. I rewired it into this receptacle so it could be wall mounted with a splash guard.

Several years ago, I had a leopard shark (~18") in my larger tank. Swam around great and ate food out of the water column just like the fish. The food did not have to settle to the bottom for it to find it. Fed it large krill, scallops, shirmp, and squid. Probably my favorite fish/animal I have had in my tanks. It did not grow fast either. I know at the zoo they have some size to them, but this stayed rather small. Eventually I moved so I had to sell it. Don't see them around as much anymore, but I like those as well.
