I have been trying unsuccessfully for a week to move my clam so I can clean the rock he is on. Picture here is how he has been for a week, powerhead aimed right at him. Still not letting go. He isn’t fully opened due to me opening top of tank for picture.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Be very careful and use a scalpel to gently cut off the byssal threads. You can remove the rock with the clam on it and gently lift the clam so you can see them. They are tendons that are white in color. DO NOT DAMAGE THE CLAM'S FOOT or it's over for the clam. After you get it off put it onto a smaller rock so that when it attaches you can move it around as you wish without cutting. Good luck!

I would just do my best to clean around the clan myself
