hes purple with yellow on the top and side fins and also has blue lines on the side that color up some times.

it has the same body but the colors are diffrent. mine is a dark pueple and has high lights of yellow. i bought it from something fishy and they had it posted as a brisal tooth tang. thanks for the input.

It is an Atlantic Blue. They (SF) use to have a horrible mis-labeling problem.

can they be pruple and yellow and it has orange spots on its face? i can not find a pick of a atlantic blue that looks like mine. thanks for the info though

Seen videos of how they reproduce in the wild. There is a huge number of both males and females that shoot there love juices into a big cloud, then the embryos float randomly along the planktonic seas. Sometimes a stray tang of another species get involved in the spawning and fertilized one of the eggs and you probably got a slight hybrid of an Atlantic Blue or Kole or etc. At any rate its cool so enjoy!
