Thanks! Mine is under the stairs about 4 feet from the surround sound subwoofer. When I crank the sound my wife complains far earlier than the fish. I've never noticed them freaking out about the vibration and most of the them have been in there for a couple of years.

Thanks I'm excited to have an in wall I've always wanted one.
The only thing I've noticed is that one of my fish doesn't 'hide' to sleep so he's floating around the tank and if we're up very late watching movies he's distracted by the lights and doesn't sleep. I've never noticed any reaction by the fish to just the sound however.

Ours isn't really in-wall, but it's in-bookcase.I've since taken the bottom two drawers to the right of the tank out and put the fronts back on so it looks like they're there. I'm plumbing stuff through that 'tunnel' to my furnace/fishroom that's over there (next to the stairs). I like that tank blends into the space instead of sitting in it and yet I still have access to hood and sump.
Having a fishroom is huge! It keeps everything looking tidy and gives you a nice place to make messes. Plus the spousal approval factor goes up cause they don't have to see, hear, and in some cases smell the guts of the setup.
Here's my 120g inwall that's viewable from two sides. The door to the right is the entrance to the fish room/closet.:biggrin:
The stand is built into the wall so the tank is only inset about 1". I used some oak molding for the frame and some solid oak strips to fill in the 1" space hiding the tank trim.
and this is what I see from the couch:
As you can see it's a little tough to keep the left side clean with the overflow being on the end... The back is covered up with a piece of 1/8" black acrylic that I can remove to scrape the glass.

We had a few thousand gallons and over 200 sq feet of surface area in a pretty small space. Thank goodness we had Achilles Tang to show us how to properly seal off the rest of the house.
I loved having the tanks in-wall. Like everyone else I did regret not putting in access panels. If you can have a floor drain in the back... that would be optimum.
